years. the tax rate is double that of surrounding counties. phillips seafood is moving across the harbor into the power plant building. they plan to reopen this fall. the cordish company plans to put in two full bars and private parties. maryland has managed to maintain its top-notch aaa bond rating. that is something only seven other states can say. residents love first priority in it retell bond itself which is set to run through june 25. >> president obama will hold a news conference this morning to address the debt situation. in an interview -- we're moving

back to you. >> thank you. new developments that we've been falling. two security guards are being treated for gunshot wounds. >> they were patrolling the area at the time. jennifer franciotti is live at police headquarters with an update on their conditions. >> the two security guards worked for assured security protection. this unfolded about 8:30 last night when they came upon a group of individuals. there is no word on how many people they encounter. some kind of a scuffle took place resulting in both officers being shot. a female police officer was shot in the right eye. a male officer was shot several times in the upper torso. both are taken to johns hopkins for treatment.

fourth of july murder. prosecutors dropped a serious charge against a man accused of killing and out-of-town visitor. first-degree murder was dropped against marcus harris. he is accused of stabbing joseph calo in the neck with a broken bottle following a scuffle different mccormick and schmicks restaurant. the carjacking suspect is behind bars accused of hijacking a mother and her baby. this happened on wednesday night edmonson avenue. police say terron white led troopers on a high-speed chase that ended a cabin john road. the victim is known as elsya. she pleaded with white to pullover but he refused to three she had no other choice except
